 Walking on the beach, waiting for the ferry, we saw a fellow doing kayak practice  Our ferry is the Sprit Of Tasmania  Beachfront near the ferry   Is this cute, or what?   We hauled sleeping bags up to our recliner chairs.  They were pretty good, each with a foot rest and reading light.  Night and morning on the ferry.  It's an all night ride.  Coming in to Devonport in Tasmania in the early morning  Parking for breakfast  Devonport is at the top center  Overlooking Devonport harbor at Mersey Bluff   $4.50 a pound for green beans is a low price?
  We had a great site at the caravan park at Mersey Bluff  These kayakers raced back and forth many times    Ray is a charming Englishman who worked for years in the tourist industry in London and had a lot to say about the joys of Tasmania  Fernglade Park in Burnie, where we saw the beautiful habitat of platypus, though not any of the creatures themselves as it was midday  The swimming platypus is carved in black stone  At the cheese store we bought Camembert and Brie, bread and fig spread for delicious snacks.  At Creative Paper, Diane took the tour led by Dean and enjoyed the hands-on aspect, getting to make a sheet of paper herself  Their paper sculptures were remarkably evocative  Stanley Caravan Park had sites in a great location, was clean and had laptop internet.  On a walk along the waterfront, we met a guy with a huge Newfoundland-ish dog,  The Nut is a huge 152 meter flat-topped circular headland that dominates the town of Stanley
