Views from Mt Wellington above Hobart 1270 meters high (nearly 4200 feet) Australia's second oldest city, Hobart center is at the lower right Arms spread wide seems to be a universal pose One of our stays in the area was in Snug, a small town 30km south of Hobart , at the Snug Beach Cabin & Caravan Park Peter is a Kiwi living in Oz. He has worked as a fruit picker and as an engineer in an abattoir; lost his love to his younger brother. Bob and Beverly are a friendly enjoyable NSW couple in Tasmania to visit their daughter. There were 100-km winds during the night Mt Wellington had a dusting of snow in the morning. They say you can have four seasons in a day in Tasmania. Salamanca Market every Saturday in Hobart draws both locals and tourists We bought candles, bergamot, oat milk. We headed up the middle of the island toward the ferry again The beautiful town of Ross is full of limestone buildings built by convicts In Longford the caravan park is on the banks of the Macquarie River The ducks didn't quite venture into the camper Brickenden is a farming village from the 1830-40's It has been well preserved Elisa Archer, of the seventh generation, loved growing up at Brickenden It was beautiful and relaxing to stroll around the grounds and gardens This large tree was certainly distinctive These fresh teenagers in Devonport said hi to Dave on the street They soon became eager to have their picture taken We parked by this pier while waiting for the ferry Sharps disposal containers are in virtually all toilets in Australia, even on the ferry We had pears, Camembert, wine and chocolate while the Aussies happily watched their football finals. The Manly Sea Eagles got clobbered by the Melbourne Storm, 34-8. Approaching our destination in the morning Goodbye Tasmania, hello Melbourne
